When a tree is removed, the stump remains. You have two main options: grinding or complete removal.

Stump grinding shaves the stump down below ground level, allowing you to cover it with soil and grass. It’s faster, cheaper, and less invasive. Complete removal involves digging out the entire root ball, which is necessary if you plan to build a foundation or replant a large tree in the exact same spot. For most residential needs, grinding is the superior choice.
